Keiichi Yamada is a Professor in the Department of Information Engineering at the Meijo University, Nagoya, Japan. He received his Dr. of Eng. degree in electronic engineering from Nagoya University, Japan, in 1996. He worked at Toshiba Corporation and Toyota Central Research and Development Laboratories before joining the faculty at the Meijo University in 2006. He was also a Visiting Scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from 2002 to 2003. His research interests include computer vision, pattern recognition, artificial intelligence, human computer interaction, and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). He is the director of the Pattern Recognition and ITS Research Lab in the Department of Information Engineering at the Meijo University.
